More rewards for the faithful

YOU reward faithfulness, Lord. As you give me success in the assignments you have entrusted to me, help me not to forget you. Give me the grace to do only the things that are pleasing in your sight. Thank you, Lord, for making me spiritually strong and helping me remember your word of rebuke to David through Nathan, "I gave you all Israel... And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more. Why did you despise the word of the LORD by doing what is evil in his eyes?" (2 Samuel 12:8-9)

  1. It is so true that the Lord rewards faithfulness. But it is also true that as David did acknowledge that the sin Samuel rebuked him for was not only done against Uriah but against God himself, God forgave him and took away his sin. Although David still had to go through the reaping of what he did, God was with him through that time. Faithfulness in doing what was entrusted to me by God is wonderful...so is being faithful in running back to God to acknowledge my sin and getting washed by the Blood of Jesus to get me cleaned up. For everyday, I am bound to make mistakes, but I've got a Father who is Faithfulness personified.
